Eventus Legal in North Yorkshire is seeking a Head of Residential Conveyancing to lead a well-established team. The role may be based in Ripon or another office with travel between locations.

The position offers a salary up to £85,000 depending on experience, a performance bonus, and flexible hybrid working arrangements. Four-day weeks may be considered for the right candidate, plus generous leave and perks.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer with extensive residential conveyancing experience.
• Strong leadership skills with ability to mentor and develop staff.
• Sound knowledge of regulatory compliance, lender requirements and AML.

Responsibilities

• Lead a residential conveyancing department of seven fee earners and support staff.
• Mentor solicitors, licensed conveyancers and support colleagues with appraisals and training.
• Maintain personal caseload while providing technical guidance on freehold, leasehold and remortgage matters.
• Oversee client service standards, transactions and risk management.
• Manage billing, WIP, profitability and workflow allocation.
