Job summary

You will prepare documents, conduct AML checks, maintain electronic files, liaise with clients and third parties, and help with billing and compliance. Hybrid working may be available depending on team requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a conveyancing or residential property support role within a law firm or conveyancing practice.

Responsibilities

• Assist with end-to-end progression of residential property transactions from instruction to completion and post-completion tasks.
• Prepare and check standard documentation (engagement letters, ID/AML checks, contracts, SDLT, completion statements).
• Maintain electronic case files with clear notes and milestones for fee earners and file reviews.
• Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, surveyors, HM Land Registry and third parties to obtain documentation and manage expectations.
• Support preparation of completion figures and disbursement requests; assist with client accounts and billing under supervision.
• Carry out client identity checks and AML compliance; maintain audit trails.
• Respond to routine enquiries via phone and email; escalate complex issues to fee earners.
• Identify improvements to streamline processes and support technology/workflow enhancements.
