Job summary

Flint Bishop in Derby is seeking a Conveyancing Assistant to join our Residential Conveyancing team. This role supports fee earners and develops experience across a varied workload within a supportive environment.

You will work closely with your fee earner, handling files, liaising with clients and estate agents, and progressing transactions to exchange and completion. A proactive, organized, client-focused mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Have previous experience working in a conveyancing assistant role, supporting fee earners.
• Exceptional client service skills and a proactive approach.
• Enjoy working in a busy environment and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Open files when necessary.
• Obtain title documents from the land registry and draft contracts for buyers' solicitors.
• Liaise with all parties within a transaction and work with partner estate agents.
• Progress transactions proactively in line with instructions from the fee earner.
• Assist fee earner with preparing files for exchange and completion.
• Deal with clients daily and provide updates as requested.
• Respond to requests for redemption statements and prepare completion statements.
• Handle enquiries from buyers' solicitors in a timely manner.
• Manage correspondence and calls in absence of the fee earner.
• Carry out post completion procedures and prepare forms for the accounts department.
• Produce and submit land transaction returns.
