Puro Associates in Pontefract, West Yorkshire, seeks an experienced Residential Conveyancer to manage a varied caseload from instruction to completion. You will handle freehold/leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages and other property matters, delivering excellent client care and working closely with agents, lenders and professionals.

You will be qualified (Solicitor/Licensed Conveyancer/CLEx) with 3+ years’ experience, strong technical knowledge, and superb communication.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor or licensed conveyancer with relevant residential property experience.
• 3+ years of managing a residential conveyancing caseload.
• Strong knowledge of freehold and leasehold transactions.
• Excellent client communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied residential conveyancing caseload from instruction to post-completion.
• Handle freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages and equity transfers.
• Prepare contracts, transfer deeds, SDLT submissions and Land Registry filings.
• Review title documents, respond to enquiries, and advise clients clearly.
• Liaise with clients, agents, lenders and solicitors to progress cases.
• Maintain accurate case management records and comply with procedures.
• Deliver high levels of client care through regular communication and proactive file management.
• Support business development and nurture referrer relationships.
• Assist senior colleagues on complex matters when required.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join a well-established and growing law firm in Pontefract. This role is ideal for a motivated and client-focused legal professional who enjoys managing their own caseload while working as part of a supportive and collaborative property team.

You will be responsible for handling a broad range of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion, delivering exceptional client care and building strong relationships with clients, estate agents, lenders and other professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a varied residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to post-completion.


• Handle freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, new build transactions, shared ownership, Help to Buy, Right to Buy and other residential property matters.


• Prepare and review contracts, transfer deeds, completion statements, SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications.


• Examine title documentation, raise and respond to enquiries, and provide clear advice to clients throughout the transaction.


• Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, brokers and other solicitors to ensure transactions progress efficiently.


• Maintain accurate case management records and ensure compliance with all regulatory and firm procedures.


• Deliver outstanding levels of client care through regular communication and proactive file management.


• Support business development activities and help maintain strong relationships with referrers and professional contacts.


• Assist senior colleagues on more complex matters where required.

About You

• Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, Chartered Legal Executive, or an experienced Residential Conveyancer/Fee Earner.


• Ideally 3+ years' experience managing your own residential conveyancing caseload.


• Strong technical knowledge across all aspects of residential property transactions.


• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.


• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise a busy workload.


• Confident using case management systems and Microsoft Office applications.


• Commercially aware with a proactive and positive approach to client service.
