Job summary

Flint Bishop Solicitors in Leeds is seeking a Conveyancing Fee Earner to join our Residential Conveyancing team. You will handle sales, purchases and remortgages of residential property, running your own caseload and supporting clients through their transactions.

Reporting to the Head of Department, the role is on-site, full-time, with opportunities for development and progression within a busy, client-focused firm.

Qualifications

  • At least 1–3 years’ experience in a Conveyancing role.
  • Strong client service skills and ability to manage client expectations.
  • Thrives in a busy team environment with good organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of residential property transactions from instruction to completion.
  • Take detailed instructions from clients and provide clear advice.
  • Maintain files and ensure timely progression and billing.
  • Communicate with clients and colleagues and ensure GDPR compliance.

Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our Residential Conveyancing team in the North offices as a Conveyancing Fee Earner. We are looking to make several appointments and have multiple positions available in our Sheffield, Leeds & York offices, supporting our clients though sales, purchases and re-mortgages of residential property.

This new role would be ideal for someone looking to develop their Residential Conveyancing career further with a varied and interesting workload, flexibility, and freedom in a supportive and friendly environment.

Reporting to the Head of Department, the roles are onsite working in one of our offices and are full time, permanent.


Key Responsibilities
  • Running your own case load consisting of buying, selling and re-mortgaging residential properties
  • Meeting clients and taking detailed instructions
  • Giving basic, clear advice on all aspects of conveyancing
  • Maintaining client confidentiality at all times
  • Opening and maintaining files in accordance with office procedures
  • Confirming instructions and advice to clients in writing
  • Conducting negotiations with other parties
  • Managing your case load to ensure that cases are progressed, closed and billed as appropriate
  • Referring matters to other senior members of the team as appropriate
  • Undertaking training and developing
  • Ensuring that all time spent is recorded
  • Ensuring adherence to GDPR regulations at all times
  • Any other tasks as required by the Head of Residential Conveyancing

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

You will:

  • Have at least 1-3 years’ experience in a Conveyancing role
  • Have exceptional client service skills, going above and beyond client expectations
  • Enjoy working in a team and thrive in a busy environment
  • Have great personal organisation skills
  • Be computer and IT literate
