Job summary

Henderson Scott is recruiting a Conveyancing Solicitor / Licensed Conveyancer in Salisbury. The role covers a broad residential property caseload with hybrid working (minimum 3 days in the office) and flexible hours.

They seek candidates with 2+ PQE or equivalent and a track record handling conveyancing matters. The successful candidate will manage transactions from instruction to completion, liaise with clients, agents and lenders, and ensure compliance with AML and lender requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience managing own residential conveyancing caseload.
• Strong knowledge of property law and Land Registry procedures.
• Understanding of mortgage lender requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of residential property transactions from instruction to completion.
• Handle freehold and leasehold sales and purchases.
• Oversee remortgages and transfers of equity.
• Review titles and investigate potential issues.
• Draft and review contracts and property documents.
• Conduct searches, raise enquiries and manage Land Registry applications.
• Liaise with clients, agents, lenders and third parties.
• Advise clients and manage expectations throughout the transaction.
• Ensure AML compliance and lender requirements; maintain case records.
• Support business development and client retention.
