Leadenhall Law Group is a modern, forward-thinking practice built on the principle that excellent legal service doesn't require unnecessary formality. We're expanding our residential conveyancing team in Southport, and we're looking for someone who combines technical precision with genuine client focus. This is a firm where your work matters, where colleagues collaborate openly, and where you're trusted to develop your expertise without unnecessary bureaucracy.
As a Residential Conveyancer with 2+ years' PQE, you'll be at the heart of one of law's most human practice areas. You'll guide clients through one of life's biggest financial and emotional decisions, managing property transactions from instruction through completion. Your day-to-day work will span the full conveyancing cycle: reviewing contracts and reports on title, conducting searches and enquiries, managing chain communications, identifying and resolving legal issues, preparing completion statements, and ensuring smooth exchanges and completions. You'll liaise with solicitors' undertakings, handle electronic money transfers, and work with estate agents, mortgage lenders, and survey providers. You'll also develop your own client relationships, building the trust and communication skills that distinguish great conveyancers from competent ones.
What makes this opportunity particularly appealing is the hybrid working arrangement, which recognises that modern conveyancing doesn't demand constant office presence. You'll have the flexibility to manage your caseload intelligently while remaining connected to the team. The salary of £44,000–£65,000 reflects genuine progression potential: as you build experience, take on more complex transactions, and perhaps develop specialist expertise within residential conveyancing, your remuneration grows accordingly. This is a firm that invests in development, not just billable hours.
You'll work alongside experienced conveyancers and fee-earners who actively mentor, and you'll have clear sight of progression into senior conveyancer roles, team leadership, or specialist areas like leasehold enfranchisement or new build conveyancing. Leadenhall's modern approach means you'll have access to contemporary practice management systems, continuing legal education opportunities, and a genuine appetite to improve how we serve clients. This is a firm where your voice is heard and your development is taken seriously.
