Job summary

TSR Legal is seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join its established property team in Kent. You will manage a varied caseload from instruction to completion, handling freehold and leasehold transactions, remortgages and transfers of equity, with a strong emphasis on high-quality client care.

The role offers full-time, office-based work with potential hybrid arrangements, in a firm renowned for technical excellence, professional development and supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Experience handling residential conveyancing transactions and managing own caseload.

Responsibilities

• Manage residential conveyancing matters including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity.
• Provide clear, proactive communication to clients, estate agents, lenders and other parties throughout the transaction.
• Ensure files progress efficiently, with appropriate attention to detail and deadlines.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and professional contacts.
• Mentor junior colleagues and support staff where required.
• Contribute to business development, networking and marketing activities to help strengthen the firm's profile and generate new business.
• Support colleagues during periods of absence and contributing to the wider team's success.
• Adhere to regulatory requirements, risk management procedures and internal compliance standards.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of conveyancing legislation, regulations and market developments.

The Role

You will manage a varied caseload of residential property transactions from instruction through to completion, ensuring matters progress efficiently while maintaining high standards of client care.

• Managing residential conveyancing matters, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity.
• Providing clear, proactive communication to clients, estate agents, lenders and other parties throughout the transaction.

You will ideally have:

• Experience handling residential conveyancing transactions and the ability to manage your own caseload independently.
• A Law Degree, LPC, CILEx qualification or Licensed Conveyancer qualification, although applications from experienced conveyancers without formal qualifications are also welcome.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Confidence using case management systems and digital working processes.
• A proactive, commercially aware approach to client relationships and business development.
• A collaborative attitude and a willingness to support and develop colleagues.
• A genuine interest in developing your technical expertise and progressing your career.
