Job summary

Emerald Law Solicitors is seeking a skilled Residential Conveyancer to handle property transactions from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of conveyancing experience and a proven track record managing all stages of the conveyancing process.

Role offers fully remote and hybrid arrangements; candidates must provide their own laptop. Salary starts at £40,000, depending on experience, with standard Monday–Friday 9am–5pm hours.

• Draft and review title reports, mortgage reports, and search reports; update the case management system.
• Conduct property searches, raise and respond to enquiries, review mortgage offers, submit Land Registry and SDLT forms; perform AML checks.
• Ensure compliance with all legal requirements and manage finances of transactions.

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Residential Conveyancer to join our team in handling property transactions. The ideal candidate will have previous conveyancing experience with a thorough understanding of residential property transactions and a proven track record in managing all aspects of the conveyancing process. This role requires a detailed oriented individual with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing residential property transactions from inception to completion.
• Liaising with clients, solicitors, and estate agents to provide regular updates to all
• Drafting and reviewing legal documents including reports on title, mortgage reports, search reports ensuring the case management system is updated throughout
• Conducting property searches, raising and replying to enquiries, reviewing mortgage offers and reporting to clients accordingly, submitting Land Registry applications and SDLT returns, carrying out AML checks and checking proof of funds.
• Ensuring compliance with all legal requirements
• Handling financial aspects of property transactions

Experience

• Previous experience as a Residential Conveyancer is essential with at least 3 years experience handling your own caseload being essential.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and stakeholders
• Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks efficiently
• Proficiency in IT systems relevant to conveyancing processes
• Exceptional organisational abilities to manage multiple cases simultaneously

Professional qualification as a Licensed Conveyancer, Solicitor or Legal Executive (CILEX) is preferred but not essential.

Salary from £40,000 and is dependent on experience.

Fully remote and hybrid roles available. Candidate must own their own laptop.
