Residential Children's Home Manager

Location: Wolverhampton
Contract Type: Temporary
Hourly Rate: 26.32 PAYE
Start Date: ASAP

Our client is seeking a dedicated Residential Children's Home Manager to oversee operations at a local authority children's home. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the management of a local authority children's home, ensuring a safe, well-run environment.
• Act as the Registered Manager, accountable to Ofsted and responsible for compliance with quality standards and regulations.
• Directly manage the Operational Manager and provide oversight for day-to-day operations.
• Ensure sufficient resources are in place to support young people's personal goals and well-being.
• Develop and implement effective policies and procedures for the home.
• Lead improvement initiatives and contribute to strategic planning for local authority children's services.
• Conduct assessments and care planning to meet the needs of children in care.
• Oversee crisis intervention and provide support to staff as needed.

• Proven experience in managing a residential children's home or similar environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to mentor and develop staff.
• Knowledge of legislation and regulations pertaining to children's services.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
