Derbyshire County Council is seeking several Residential Childrens Workers for Peak Lodge - The Willows. You will provide holistic care and safety for children and young people in a small, trauma-informed team environment, with a focus on relationship-based and psychologically informed practice.

Employees participate in shift work (early, late and sleep-ins) to deliver 24-hour care, with a commitment to completing Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within two years or holding an equivalent

Qualifications

• Openness to relationship-focused and psychologically informed working practices.
• Willing to undertake Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within 2 years of starting, or hold an equivalent qualification (e.g., L3 Children and Young People’s Workforce or NVQ L3).

Responsabilités

• Provide holistic care and safety for children and young people.
• Work as part of a small staff team providing support and a person-centred service.
• Collaborate with partner services to access additional services for children and families.
• Embed the therapeutic ethos of Derbyshire Residential Services in daily care.
• Address physical, emotional and social development in line with policy.
