Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Children’s Support Worker for a residential school in Bromyard/Hereford. You will support children with autism and learning disabilities, assist with personal care and help them engage in education and community activities to build confidence and independence.

This permanent, on-site role operates on a 3 on 3 off shift pattern. A Full UK driving licence and experience with children are required, and the Level 3 in Children and Young Peoples workforce is funded by

Qualifications

Full UK driving licence is required.
Experience in a care role or with children and young people is preferred.
Experience with individuals with Autism / Learning Disabilities is desirable.

Responsibilities

Ensure high standard of personal care for each young person, including wellbeing and hygiene.
Accept Key Worker responsibility for individual young people.
Support young people in the community and during activities and holidays; may drive a company vehicle after training.
Engage with pupils in activities and leisure pursuits, including physical activities.
Read and adhere to risk assessments and placement plans; maintain notes and records.
Work on a rota basis, including some weekend work.
