Vetro Social Care is recruiting Residential Children's Support Workers for children's services in Swansea and surrounding areas on an agency basis. You will work alongside an experienced team of managers and support workers to provide the best care for children in the home.

Overview:

• Title: Residential Children's Support Worker
• Pay: £13.68 - £27.36 per hour inclusive of holiday pay
• Hours: Flexible shift pattern, including 12-hour shifts, days, nights, and sleep-ins
• Benefits: Weekly pay, excellent rates, no payroll charges

The role:

What you'll be doing:

• Supporting children and young people in daily activities and interests
• Promoting independence and wellbeing
• Attending trips, holidays, and weekends away with children
• Supporting children in weekend and evening activities, from climbing to baking to trips in Butlins
• Protecting children from health and welfare risks
• Providing emotional and practical support
• Maintaining up-to-date care plans and guidelines
• Managing challenging behaviour and minimizing incidents

Successful candidate:

Requirements:

• A desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children
• Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
• At least 6 months experience working with children or in social care
• Valid UK Driving Licence
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
• Right to work in the UK
