An established industry player is seeking a Senior Residential Childcare Practitioner to help establish a new residential children's home. This exciting role involves providing emotional and social support to children and young people, managing challenging behaviours, and understanding early childhood trauma. As part of the management team, you will guide staff and build a cohesive team dedicated to delivering exceptional care. Hours: 35 Hours
Salary: Grade 5 SCP 18-22 = £30,559 - £32,654 per annum pro rata
35 Hours = 94.59% = £28,905 - £30,887 per annum
We are seeking an experienced Senior Residential Childcare Practitioner to help set up our own residential children's home within the Merthyr Tydfil County Borough. This is an exciting opportunity as we establish a residential arm to support children and young people in our care.
As a Senior Support Worker, you will help provide a safe, secure environment where children and young people can thrive. Your role includes offering emotional and social support, managing challenging behaviour, and understanding early childhood trauma and its effects on young people.
The senior position is part of the management team, supporting the Manager and guiding staff with your expertise. You will help build a cohesive team committed to delivering the best care.
Applicants must hold the Level 3 Diploma for Children and Young People or an equivalent qualification.
The role involves 24-hour care, including some sleep-in shifts on a rota basis.
