Job summary

Active Care Group is recruiting a Children's Care Worker for our Buttons service in Wiltshire (Swindon). The role involves supporting children with complex needs in a 5-bed residential home, working a rota including weekends.

You will implement care plans, assist with daily living tasks and participate in activities to promote independence. The position offers shifts ranging from mornings to full days, with a competitive pro rata salary of £27,766.15 per year for full-time, and opportunities for

Qualifications

Level 3 NVQ in Residential Childcare or equivalent, or willingness to work toward it.
Experience with supporting children.
Flexible, professional approach to multi-site working.
Ability to work as part of a team and as an individual.

Responsibilities

Assist and support staff in the management and organisation of the home.
Establish an atmosphere where children can be supported and develop independence.
Implement established care plans for the children/young people.
Provide care after appropriate training.
Assist with feeding, dressing, toileting and washing/bathing as needed.
Serve as key worker for an assigned child.
Attend staff meetings, supervision, and training events.
Engage in community involvement and activities.
