Job summary

First for Support is seeking compassionate and reliable Children's and Young People's Support Workers to join a team providing temporary staffing to children's homes around Southampton. You’ll help create a safe, nurturing environment, support daily routines, education and emotional wellbeing, and make a real difference with flexible shifts.

Role is temporary/agency work with weekly pay and ongoing recruitment support.

Qualifications

• Have previous experience in a similar role as a Children's Support Worker.
• Reliable, professional, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build meaningful relationships.
• Caring, patient and resilient.
• Able to stay calm in challenging situations.
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare.

Hourly rate:up to £13.15 per hourplus holiday pay (depending on experience)

Job Type: Temporary, Agency Work

Shift Pattern: Flexible shifts available, including days, nights, sleep-ins, weekends and long days.

About the Role

At First for Support, we're looking for compassionate and reliable Children's and Young People's Support Workers to join our growing team, providing temporary staffing to children's homes in and around Southampton.

As a Support Worker, you'll play an important role in supporting children and young people in residential care settings. You will help provide a safe, supportive and nurturing environment, build positive relationships and support young people with their daily routines, activities, education and emotional wellbeing. No two days are the same, giving you the opportunity to make a real difference while enjoying the flexibility that temporary work offers.

Responsibilities
