Job summary

Outcomes First Group is hiring a Residential Childcare Worker in Closeburn, Dumfriesshire. This full-time role offers a supportive home environment where you help children and young people to heal, grow and thrive, with a rolling rota 5 days out of 7 and a salary up to £29,130 per year plus sleepover payments.

No prior experience required; training provided. A full UK manual driving licence is essential and UK applicants only; sponsorship is not offered.

Hours: Full-Time, Permanent (39 hours per week) | Rolling rota, 5 days out of 7

Essential: Full UK Driving Manual Licence

  • Supporting children and young people with their daily routines and individual goals
  • Accompanying them to appointments, activities, shopping trips and community outings
  • Helping create a warm, safe and welcoming home environment
  • Supporting with household tasks such as cooking, cleaning and maintaining the home
  • Encouraging participation in hobbies, activities and new experiences
  • Building positive, trusting relationships that promote confidence and emotional wellbeing
  • Completing records and documentation to ensure the highest standards of care
  • Working as part of a dedicated team to deliver outstanding support

The Location

Holistic Childcare and Education consists of two specialist homes: Closeburn House and Maben House.Closeburn House supports young people aged 10–16 years, while Maben House supports young people aged 6–16 years.
