Job summary

Acorn Training Ltd. in Exeter is seeking a Trainer Assessor to deliver high-quality teaching, coaching and assessment for Level 4 and 5 Residential Childcare apprenticeships. You will plan training, monitor progress and support learners toward end-point assessments in line with AO standards.

The role requires up-to-date knowledge of residential childcare, strong pastoral support, and the ability to collaborate with employers on personalised training plans. A current driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Level 5 qualification in subject area essential.
• CAVA and AET certificates required where applicable.
• GCSE English and Maths at a minimum level.
• Valid driving licence with access to a vehicle for travel.
• IQA and CET qualifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage an agreed caseload of apprentices and learners with high-quality training and assessment.
• Plan training around learners starting points and English/maths development.
• Develop individual training plans with employers for final assessments.
• Provide induction programmes for learners and employers.
• Deliver learning strategies and resources to progress learning programs.
