Job summary

Trigon Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Residential Childcare Tutor/Assessor to deliver high-quality teaching and assessment to learners pursuing Residential Childcare qualifications up to Level 5. The role combines remote delivery with on-site learner visits across the South West, including Exeter and Taunton.

You will manage a caseload, conduct initial assessments, develop ILPs and ensure compliance with safeguarding and funding requirements while supporting learner progression.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare or equivalent
• Experience working in Residential Childcare settings
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Ability to manage a learner caseload effectively
• Confident using Microsoft Teams and e-portfolio systems
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the South West region

Responsibilities

• Deliver teaching, learning and assessment across Residential Childcare qualifications up to Level 5
• Manage a caseload of learners with ILPs
• Conduct initial assessments and develop ILPs
• Deliver a blend of remote and face-to-face learning and assessment
• Support learners to develop occupational competence and professional behaviours
• Coordinate with employers and managers to support learner progression
