Residential Childcare Support Worker (Sessional/Casual), Chedzoy

Position Details
  • Contract: Shift pattern - ad-hoc cover
  • Salary: £[amount] per hour plus sleep-in shifts when required

We are seeking Residential Child Care Workers to join our new residential home on a casual basis. This role offers flexibility with no contractual obligations, allowing you to work hours that suit your availability.

Responsibilities

Working in a children's residential home, you will support young people with challenging behaviour. You must be flexible, resilient, honest, well-organized, and committed to providing high-quality childcare to help young people achieve positive outcomes.

Requirements
  • Previous experience working with challenging young people (preferred but not essential)
  • Qualified to QCF level in Children and Young People
  • Ability to work independently with high accuracy and maintain clear records
  • Good interpersonal skills and a positive team attitude
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Ability to complete daily records in line with statutory and policy requirements
  • Empathetic nature
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to motivate and engage young people
  • Full manual driving license (essential)

A sleep-in allowance of £[amount] per night is provided as needed.
