Job summary

Witherslack Group is seeking a Residential Support Worker to join our team supporting children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs. You will help with daily routines, school readiness, homework support, and activity planning, in a warm, inclusive home environment.

We offer a base salary of £34,274 - £40,640 (with up to 4 sleep-ins per month paid at £80 each) plus benefits, a full 4-week induction via Care Academy, and 7 weeks of holiday.

Qualifications

• A 'can do' attitude – a team player who rolls up their sleeves to help others.
• We genuinely care about our young people (and each other) so honesty and empathy is a must.
• The resilience to be able to deal with challenging situations.
• A full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months.
• We’ll pay for you to study a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Take care of our young people day to day and ensure things run smoothly.
• Help with homework, complete paperwork, and plan activities.
• Support evenings and weekends with engaging activities and outings.
