Job Description:

As a Residential Support Worker, you will be a role model, a listening ear, and a warm and approachable person. Your role is to support boys in their daily routines, promote independence, and build strong bonds with them. You will support with activities, attend appointments, complete paperwork, and help create a positive environment for the young people.

Main Duties:

1. Supporting daily routines, including hygiene, meals, and activities
2. Supporting room cleans, life skills, and socialization
3. Attending medical and other appointments
4. Supporting activity plans and completing daily paperwork
5. Building relationships with families and planning family contacts
6. Being a Keyworker, creating special occasions and opportunities for the boys

Candidate Requirements:

• Flexibility in availability, including sleep-ins and shift work
• Understanding of issues faced by young people in care
• Relevant qualifications or willingness to work towards them
• Excellent communication skills
• Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
• Willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check (paid for by the employer)
• Experience with EBD, social/residential work, or youth work is advantageous
• Full, clean UK driving license and ability to cover other homes as needed
