Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a Residential Support Worker for a leading children’s charity in Leicestershire. You will support vulnerable young people in Hinckley, building nurturing relationships and contributing to day-to-day home operations.

The role requires Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, safeguarding knowledge, and willingness to do sleep-ins, weekends, and bank holidays. Competitive salary, pension, parking, and ongoing training are offered.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or be willing to achieve this within the required timeframe.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.

Responsibilities

• Building trusting, nurturing relationships that promote each young person’s independence, wellbeing, and personal growth.
• Working collaboratively with parents, carers, and professionals to support holistic care.
• Contributing to the day-to-day running of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a welcoming environment.
• Accurately documenting and maintaining records in line with safeguarding and regulatory standards.
• Promoting and maintaining a safe, supportive environment at all times.
• Upholding safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the protection of all service users.
