Job summary

The Caldecott Foundation is seeking a Residential Care Worker to support the learning, emotional, social and behavioural needs of children and young people in residential homes and school settings. You will help implement care plans and contribute to daily routines, creating safe, nurturing experiences.

The role includes a rota and sleep-in duties; you will drive Foundation vehicles to transport young people to activities and appointments, working in a trauma-informed environment to support

Qualifications

• Clear written records ability.
• Willingness to undertake Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (if not already held).
• Interest in supporting children and young people to achieve positive outcomes.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Support the emotional, social, behavioural and educational needs of children and young people.
• Help implement care plans, education plans and individual strategies.
• Contribute to a safe, nurturing and supportive home environment.
• Support young people in daily routines, activities, learning and social opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with colleagues and professionals.
• Promote young people’s safety, wellbeing and positive development.
• Participate in mandatory training, supervision and sleep-in duties.
