Job summary

Blackpool and The Fylde College is seeking an experienced Trainer in Children and Young People’s Residential Care to join our team on a 0.5 FTE basis, delivering high-quality training and assessment to apprentices and learners within the residential childcare sector.

You will play a key role supporting learners throughout their journey, helping them develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours required to succeed while building strong relationships with employers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging practical and theoretical training, assessment and coaching to learners in Children and Young People’s Residential Care programmes.
• Conduct learner reviews and ILP activities with employers to monitor progress and ensure timely achievement.
• Create and adapt learning resources and digital content to meet curriculum and industry requirements.
• Provide feedback and contribute to quality improvement to enhance student outcomes and programme effectiveness.
• Support employer engagement activities and learner recruitment events across College departments.
