Essex County Council is seeking an experienced care worker to join our Adult Social Care rota, delivering person-centred support in a residential/short break setting. You will assist with personal care, medication, meals and daily activities to help adults maintain independence.

You will work as part of a team, with full training provided and induction paid. The role includes flexible hours on a rota, with a pro rata salary for part-time hours, and our commitment to safeguarding and high-quality

Competenze

Educated to RQF Level 2 (GCSE) or equivalent by experience with a willingness to achieve the award within 24 months of starting the role.
Experience within a social care setting and working within a team environment.
Good communication skills and an ability to develop a rapport and engage with diverse groups of individuals.

Provides support to individuals to ensure they reach optimum independence and can exert control in daily life.
Supports individuals with personal care, medication, meal preparation and laundry.
Supports individuals/groups to access social and leisure activities.
Monitors wellbeing and protects adults from abuse, reporting concerns to senior managers.
