Job summary

Brandon James Limited is seeking a Building Surveyor to focus on residential surveys, initially performing RICS Level 2 and Level 3 surveys and documenting them thoroughly. The firm will train you to broaden your skill set beyond the initial scope.

Applicants should have hands-on Level 2/3 survey experience and be within a reasonable distance of Reading, with an appetite to progress toward broader building surveying responsibilities. A supportive APC training pathway is provided.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with RICS Level 2 and Level 3 surveys.
• AssocRICS or plan to pursue it.
• Base within a sensible commute of Reading.
• Desire to learn and broaden into wider building surveying.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out RICS Level 2 and Level 3 surveys on residential property.
• Inspecting for and diagnosing defects, damp and movement.
• Writing clear, accurate survey reports.
• Talking clients through findings and next steps.
• Managing your own diary of inspections.
• Taking on wider building surveying work as training progresses.
