Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR in Colchester is seeking an ARB/RIBA qualified Architect to join the Residential team on a portfolio spanning private developers to major housebuilders. You will take ownership of planning layouts and masterplans, guiding projects through RIBA stages 0–3 with close collaboration across planning and technical specialists.

You must be proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp, and balance creative ambition with policy compliance and commercial realities in the UK housing market.

Qualifications

• ARB/RIBA Qualified Architect.
• Solid track record designing residential & masterplan schemes.
• Hands-on experience delivering work for housebuilder clients.
• A confident grasp of planning policy across the UK.
• A knack for balancing creative ambition with commercial reality and policy compliance.
• Comfortable collaborating across teams and communicating design intent clearly.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD & SketchUp.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of planning layouts and masterplan proposals for a client base spanning private developers to housebuilders.
• Lead projects through RIBA stages 0–3 from feasibility to consent with close collaboration across planning and technical disciplines.
