Job summary

Skycare is seeking an enthusiastic Activities Coordinator for a care home in the Hounslow area. The role is full-time, 42 hours per week, paying £13.50 per hour, and focuses on delivering engaging, person-centred activities to promote wellbeing and social interaction among residents, including those living with dementia.

You will plan, organise, and lead a varied programme, work with families and the care team, and ensure activities are safe, inclusive, and enjoyable for all residents.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role within care, healthcare, or hospitality.
• GCSEs in English and Maths.
• Experience planning activities for older adults.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Understanding of person-centred care and resident wellbeing.
• Ability to engage people with varying abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a varied programme of daily, weekly, and seasonal activities.
• Organise group and one-to-one activities that support residents' wellbeing.
• Develop person-centred activity plans based on residents' interests.
• Encourage resident participation and promote inclusion.
• Organise outings, events, and community engagement activities.
• Arrange visits from entertainers, schools, and volunteers.
• Support residents living with dementia through meaningful activities.
• Monitor participation and improve activity programmes.
• Maintain records and documentation of engagement.
• Collaborate with care staff to deliver activities safely and effectively.
• Ensure activities comply with health and safety and CQC standards.
