Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking an Activities Driver for Bridge Manor Care Home in Wolverhampton to provide safe, timely transport for residents to activities and events. You will support residents with special needs, stay focused on driving, and work as part of a caring team dedicated to exceptional care.

DBS check is required and Avery will meet the cost; applicants must have a PCV Cat D1 license and CPC training as part of our safety standards.

Qualifications

• PCV license with Cat D1 and an acceptable driving record.
• Attend periodic CPC training as required.
• Be knowledgeable of all safety precautions and comply with safety procedures.
• Be able to react calmly in emergencies and be considerate.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation services for residents to and from activities.
• Assisting residents with any special needs during transportation, such as carrying packages, opening doors, assisting residents onto and out of the vehicle, and assisting residents to the point of destination required.
• Always focusing on driving; directs tasks and passenger interactions to onboard support staff while the vehicle is in motion.
• Providing miscellaneous pickup and delivery services as needed.
