Job summary

Gold Group in Macclesfield currently seeks a Resident Mechanical Engineer to join a large facilities management team. You will handle maintenance and repairs on mechanical assets, support planned preventative maintenance, and contribute to safe, reliable site operations.

The ideal candidate will hold an NVQ Level 2 in Mechanical Engineering or similar, with 18th Edition desirably, and City & Guilds qualifications.

Qualifications

• Recognised mechanical qualification is essential.
• Experience with planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs.
• 18th Edition wiring regs are desirable.
• AP status within 3 months is expected.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive tasks and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure consumables are available and provide parts lists with timescales.
• Complete paperwork/CAFM entries promptly for maintenance and repairs.
• Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments for tasks.
• Maintain safe working practices and proper PPE usage.
• Communicate effectively with staff, subcontractors and client representatives.
• Comply with KPIs and SLAs and keep CAFM (Planon) up to date.
