Our client, a leading Facilities Management provider, is looking to recruit an experienced
Resident Mechanical Engineer to join the engineering team at a large commercial site in Cheshire.
This is a static maintenance role covering planned and reactive works across a range of mechanical building services. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining plant and equipment, fault finding and ensuring all works are completed safely and within agreed service levels.
Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance
Fault find and repair HVAC and building services systems
Work on LTHW/CHW systems, pumps, motors and associated plant
Support maintenance of BMS-controlled systems
Complete PPM and reactive tasks through the CAFM system
Assist with quotations, remedial works and parts requirements
Ensure plant rooms and engineering areas are maintained to a high standard
Complete relevant risk assessments and method statements
Liaise with clients, subcontractors and the wider engineering team
Support out-of-hours requirements where required
Recognised Mechanical Engineering qualification such as City & Guilds, BTEC or NVQ
Strong commercial building services maintenance experience
Experience fault finding HVAC systems
Good knowledge of pumps, motors and heating/cooling systems
BMS fault-finding experience
Understanding of L8 / water hygiene requirements
Strong Health & Safety awareness
Ability to work independently and prioritise workload
City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395
Cooling tower experience
IPAF
Permit to Work experience
