Job summary

Welford Healthcare is hiring an Activities Coordinator for Langford Park Nursing Home in Exeter. You will design and run engaging activities to promote social interaction and independence among residents, both in groups and one-to-one sessions.

Lead creative activities within budget, arrange celebrations, and coordinate transport and communications. Training and development opportunities, with DBS clearance provided, are offered to support your role.

Qualifications

• Experience working with older adults or in care-related settings is desirable.
• Ability to design and lead group activities and 1:1 sessions.

Responsibilities

• Devise and arrange activities within budget.
• Coordinate birthdays and celebrations for residents.
• Assess and lead group activities to meet residents' needs.
• Be inclusive, creative and responsive to preferences.
• Liaise with staff on resident care and social needs.
• Transport residents to external activities using the minibus.
• Plan exercise/movement to music sessions in the home.
• Produce a monthly resident newsletter using MS Word and Outlook.
• Maintain and update resident records and track activity feedback.
• Promote social activity through home communications.
