Job summary

Swisslog is seeking a Resident Site Engineer for East Midlands Gateway to maintain automated handling systems. You'll rotate 12-hour days and nights on wrappers, conveyors, packaging equipment, pallets, and robots, ensuring safety and reliability on site.

The role is customer-facing and requires clear communication across levels. PLC knowledge, especially Siemens S7, is desirable. Join a global robotics leader and contribute to continuous improvement on site.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Happy to work at heights.
• This is a customer facing role, so you must be able to communicate effectively at all levels.
• An understanding of PLC systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Electrical and mechanical maintenance on automated machinery including wrappers, conveyors, packaging equipment, cranes and robots.
• Carry out servicing of automated materials handling equipment; follow quality standards.
• Record all work accurately and prioritise faults.
• Involvement in continuous improvement projects.

Make an impact

Resident Site Engineer, East Midlands Gateway. Working rotating 12-hour days and nights. Company benefits to include private healthcare and company contributory pension scheme.

• Electrical and mechanical breakdown and planned preventative maintenance on a variety of automated machinery, to include wrappers; pallet conveyors; packaging machinery; pallet stacker cranes and robots.
• Carry out automated materials handling equipment servicing, in accordance with quality standards.
• Working with Siemens S7 and safety PLC's.
• Always Comply with Health & Safety legislation.
• Working at heights.
• Prioritise system faults.
• To always ensure quality of output.
• To accurately record all work undertaken.
• Involvement in continuous improvement projects.

What you need to succeed
