Job summary

Carrington West is seeking an experienced Resident Engagement Project Manager to deliver a new Resident Engagement Strategy over an initial 6-month period, focusing on embedding five Housing Management Boards and a Resident Advisory Panel.

The role involves establishing governance and working arrangements, developing board work programmes and resident scrutiny activity, and delivering a range of involvement projects with reporting to senior management.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering resident engagement, tenant involvement or resident scrutiny within social housing.
• Experience establishing or managing resident boards, panels or scrutiny groups.
• Experience developing and delivering resident scrutiny programmes.
• Experience commissioning resident training, mentoring or Independent Tenant Adviser services.
• Project management experience within Housing.
• Experience delivering service reviews and resident involvement projects.
• Experience producing reports and recommendations for senior management.
• Knowledge of social housing resident engagement and scrutiny requirements.
• Experience working within Council financial and procurement procedures.
• Availability to attend resident meetings and events outside normal office hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Embedding five Housing Management Boards and a new Resident Advisory Panel.
• Establishing governance, administration and working arrangements for each board.
• Developing board work programmes and resident scrutiny activity.
• Supporting boards to gather evidence and scrutinise Housing services.
• Developing and commissioning a resident training programme.
• Producing reports on board activity, findings and recommendations.
• Working with Housing service leads to provide boards with relevant service and performance information.
• Delivering a co-produced review of the resident grant programme.
• Commissioning a framework for Independent Tenant Adviser (ITA) services.
• Commissioning ITA and mentoring provision for board members.
• Developing online information hubs for each board.
• Managing participant payments in line with financial procedures.
• Delivering projects in line with procurement and contract requirements.
