Qualifications

• Experience as a Chef or Cook, ideally in a care home or catering environment.
• Strong cooking ability with skill in meeting dietary needs.
• Excellent planning, time-management and stock-handling skills.
• Knowledge of food hygiene, kitchen safety and equipment maintenance.
• Willingness to complete relevant training including dementia awareness.

Responsibilities

• Menu planning in collaboration with residents and kitchen team.
• Prepare, cook and serve meals to a high standard.
• Manage stock levels and place orders under supervision.
• Maintain a clean, compliant kitchen following safety regs.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and report faults.
