Job summary

Tyndale Baptist Church in Bristol is seeking a resident caretaker to welcome all users and maintain the building and grounds.

You will take responsibility for upkeep, cleanliness, security, and day-to-day management, with generous on-site accommodation.

Hours are 24 per week, with interviews scheduled for the near future. The role requires reliability and a commitment to the church's mission.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning or caretaker roles, preferably in a church or community setting.
• Experience with cleaning equipment and basic tools.
• Willing to work flexibly and take overall responsibility.
• Able to align with the church's values and mission.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.

• Maintain the church building and surroundings to a high standard.

Job description

Location: Tyndale Baptist Church, Whiteladies Road, Clifton, Bristol. BS8 2QG

The Role

The resident caretaker will be a welcoming presence to all those who use the premises.

You will take responsibility for the general upkeep, cleanliness, security, and management of the church building and the surrounding area.

You should apply if

• You have previous experience in a cleaning or caretaker role, ideally in a church or community environment.
• You have proven record of using cleaning equipment and basic tools safely and effectively.
• You are willing to work flexibly and assume overall responsibility for the role.

• You have proven ability to manage and prioritise and wide range of tasks efficiently, with attention to detail.

Additional information

Salary: £11,811 p.a. plus free accommodation on the premises to include heating, lighting and water.

Hours of work: 24 hours per week, to be worked as needed.
