Job summary

Cathay Care Home, Forres, is seeking an Activities Coordinator to deliver a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities that promote wellbeing and social interaction. You will tailor activities to individual interests and care needs, building strong relationships with residents, including those living with dementia.

You will join a supportive team with training provided to help you grow in the role and contribute to a positive, stimulating care environment.

Qualifications

• A creative, organised and enthusiastic approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging activities.
• A genuine interest in supporting older people.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience in activities or a similar role is beneficial, however candidates with transferable skills from roles such as hospitality, events, childcare or community work are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one to one activities, tailored to individual interests, abilities and care needs.
• Building strong relationships to enable understanding of preferences and inclusive participation for all residents, including those living with dementia.
• Work as part of the wider team to create a positive, stimulating environment where individuals feel valued, active and connected.
• Training and support provided to help you develop in the role.
