Job summary

Prime Life are seeking a compassionate Activities Coordinator for Ashlands Care Home in Leicester to enrich residents’ daily lives through engaging social, emotional, physical and spiritual activities.

You will plan and run a varied programme, arrange trips, provide companionship, help with fundraising, source in-home entertainment, and keep clear records, while welcoming families to participate in the caring community.

Qualifications

• Essential to have a genuine caring nature and a desire to make a real difference for residents.
• Experience organising activities in a similar environment is advantageous.
• Good time-keeping and ability to prioritise tasks are essential.

Responsibilities

• Planning daily activities that empower residents social, emotional, physical and spiritual well-being
• Scheduling trips and excursions in line with residents’ interests and hobbies
• Providing friendship and companionship, and accompanying residents on social outings or appointments
• Organising and participating in fundraising
• Researching and arranging entertainment within the home, such as musicians and artists
• Maintaining accurate and timely written records and completing documentation
• Welcoming family members to the home and encouraging participation in daily activities with their loved ones
