Job summary

Now Student Living in Bournemouth is seeking an Operations Manager to lead the running of a student residence and the accommodation team. You will ensure residents are happy, safe and content, while delivering high standards of service to maximise occupancy and revenue.

Responsibilities include financial management, budgeting, P&L oversight, and daily operations, with a hands-on approach to team coaching, performance reviews and onboarding of staff.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a residential or student accommodation setting.
• Strong financial acumen with budget and P&L oversight.
• Excellent customer service and revenue-generation focus.
• Knowledge of health & safety protocols and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Actively drive business and revenue opportunities with the team and LAM to manage viewings and renewals.
• Maintain high customer service standards to maximise occupancy and revenue.
• Manage daily operations to meet company policies and ensure a smooth student experience.
• Oversee budgets, cost controls, and financial reporting for the residence.
• Lead health & safety initiatives and ensure staff are trained to the required standard.
• Plan and organise tasks to ensure adequate staffing and reporting deadlines.
• Direct maintenance, cleaning, and visual standards to uphold brand quality.
• Complete month-end reports and maintain compliance with company procedures.
• Participate in recruitment and onboarding of new staff and manage performance reviews.
• Coach and develop team members, ensuring effective delegation and teamwork.
