Qualifications

  • Candidates must hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related engineering field.
  • 10 years of experience in data center environments across architecture, pre-sales, design, operations or management.
  • Exposure to infrastructure design and deployment in data centers is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of data center physical infrastructure and related software/tools.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze how AI compute, liquid cooling, distributed energy and digitization affect data center power and cooling architectures.
  • Assess technical implications and trade-offs of new solutions on infrastructure design and operations.
  • Produce high-value thought leadership including white papers and technical reports.
  • Lead creation of infrastructure design guidance, reference architectures and articles.
  • Ensure technical rigor through peer reviews and expert validation.
  • Translate complex topics into clear insights for technical and business audiences.

Salary: £38,000 - 78,000 per year

Requirements:
  • We are looking for candidates with a bachelors or masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Energy & Power Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar field.
  • We require 10 years of experience in data center environments, such as solution architecture, technical pre-sales, electrical or mechanical design engineering, data center operations, commissioning, consulting, or power or cooling system product management.
  • We strongly prefer exposure to infrastructure design, system integration, or deployment in data centers.
  • We are looking for strong knowledge of data center physical infrastructure, including electrical systems, mechanical systems, architecture principles, and data center management software and digital twins.
  • We need someone with the ability to understand and explain system-level impacts of technology changes.
  • We value systems thinking, analytical and research skills, strong critical thinking, and excellent communication and writing skills.
Responsibilities:
  • We analyze how emerging technologies such as AI compute, liquid cooling, distributed energy, and digitization impact data center power and cooling architectures, system design, density, scalability, and interactions with the grid and energy ecosystem.
  • We assess the technical implications, constraints, and trade-offs of new solutions on infrastructure design and operations.
  • We leverage real-world engineering expertise to produce high-value thought leadership.
  • We contribute to and progressively lead the creation of white papers, technical reports, infrastructure design guidance, reference architectures, articles, and insights on technology adoption and impact.
  • We ensure technical rigor and clarity through peer reviews and validation with subject matter experts.
  • We structure complex technical topics into clear insights and actionable conclusions.
  • We translate deep technical concepts into clear, accessible content for technical and business audiences.
  • We explain the significance of findings and why they matter.
