Job summary

The University of Oxford, Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences (NDORMS), invites applications for a part-time Research Study Manager (70% FTE) on a fixed-term contract to 31 December 2027.

You will oversee multi-site studies, manage ethics applications, track timelines, and liaise with funders and partners to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining trial documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree in biomedical or related subject or proven experience in clinically related research.
• Knowledge of research methodology and ethics approvals for clinical studies.
• Proven administrative and project management skills across multiple sites.
• Ability to follow procedures and handle sensitive information in line with data protection laws.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day running of research projects including ethics applications and protocol adherence.
• Maintain trial master files and site files; ensure annual ethics reporting and amendments.
• Liaise with stakeholders, funders and partner organisations to ensure on-time, on-budget outputs.
• Provide leadership and guidance on study protocols and data handling across sites.
