Job summary

OCTRU, within the NDORMS at the University of Oxford, seeks a Medical Statistician (Grade 6) to join its Statistics Team. You will assist in trial design and setup, provide statistical input to protocols and ethics submissions, and develop SAPs and analysis programs.

The post is based at Oxford with a training programme in clinical trial statistics and related processes during the first year; there may be a hybrid working option after an initial office-based period.

Qualifications

• You must hold a postgraduate degree in statistics (or a closely related subject), a substantial part of which relates to medical statistics, or equivalent experience.
• Fluent in key aspects of study design and analysis; ability to explain complex statistical issues to non-statisticians.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and set-up of clinical trials within a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide written statistical input into protocols and ethics submissions.
• Prepare statistical analysis plans (SAP) and produce statistical programs for analysis of study data.
