The Swansea Academy of Advanced Computing at Swansea University is seeking to appoint a Research Software Engineer to support projects in lattice quantum field theory. The role will involve developing enhancements to software used for lattice quantum field theory in the UK, and deploying tools to aid in making the analysis of data generated using this software reproducible.

The successful candidate should be familiar with good practice in research software engineering and high-performance computing, in addition to having a PhD in lattice quantum field theory or equivalent experience in this area.

Welsh Language Skills

The Welsh language level required for this role is Level 1 - A little. The role holder will be able to pronounce Welsh words, answer the phone in Welsh (good morning/afternoon) and use very basic everyday words and phrases (thank you, please etc.). Level 1 can be reached by completing a 1 hour course.
