Job summary
Newcastle University is seeking a motivated individual to join the School of Computing to work on an EPSRC-funded project developing and deploying a decision-grade Digital Product Passport platform for buildings. You will integrate Newcastle University’s infrastructure with partner data and work on data models, APIs and secure deployment.
The role requires strong software-development skills, experience with data-centric systems, and the ability to collaborate with researchers and industry
Qualifications
- MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Experience designing and implementing reliable software systems.
- Experience with data-centric, distributed or integrated software projects.
Responsibilities
- Implement and deploy the Digital Product Passport prototype and supporting technical infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain data structures and semantic models for cross-organisation data.
- Implement provenance and data-quality mechanisms for evidence across handovers.
- Develop APIs and integration interfaces for exchange with digital-twin and analytics systems.
- Support secure deployment, testing and validation of the demonstrator.
