Job summary

DeepMind in London is seeking a Research Scientist to advance multi-agent systems and game theory in the Post-AGI Futures program. You will work with ML researchers and social scientists to study AGI's societal impact and develop formal models of agent societies.

Responsibilities include designing and evaluating multi-agent environments, simulating large-scale agent collectives, and staying abreast of the latest work in AI safety, governance, and ethics.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, ML, Cognitive Science, Neuroscience, Economics, Sociology, Anthropology, Philosophy or a related technical field.
• 2 years of experience publishing research in core machine learning venues (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, JMLR, TMLR).

Responsibilities

• Drive research on multi-agent systems and game theory in the post-AGI futures context.
• Collaborate with ML researchers, social scientists, philosophers to study societal impacts of AGI.
• Design, implement, and evaluate multi-agent environments modeling societies and large-scale agent collectives.
• Stay current with advances in multi-agent AI, LLMs, game theory, AI safety, ethics, governance, and related fields.
