Job summary

Google DeepMind in London, UK, seeks a Research Scientist to develop and execute a novel research agenda at the intersection of AI and Human-Computer Interaction, exploring the future of human-AI interactions and societal impacts.

You will communicate findings to academia and the public through publications, the DMI platform, prototypes, and demonstrations, collaborating with colleagues across DMI and DeepMind to shape a forward-looking program.

Qualifications

• PhD degree in Computer Science, Human-Centered Computing, Cognitive Science, or a related field.
• 6 years post-PhD experience conducting research on Human-Centered AI topics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a novel research agenda addressing the future of Human-AI Interactions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues to translate research findings into company and global impact.
• Design, conduct, and analyze mixed-methods studies involving human-subjects.
• Develop artifacts for advancing Human-AI Interactions including prototypes and new interface designs.
• Communicate findings internally and externally via publications, whitepapers, and talks.
