Job summary

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 Research Nurse or Clinical Trial Coordinator to join the AI team at the Heart and Lung Research Institute on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. The role covers setup, recruitment, data collection and coordination of both commercial and non-commercial trials within a multidisciplinary framework.

• Experience delivering clinical research trials or clinical audits.
• Excellent oral and written communication across MDT.,
• Ability to mentor and educate junior staff.
• Strong data quality and documentation discipline.
• Commitment to ICH-GCP standards and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist with study setup activities and trial coordination.
• Recruit and consent suitable patients and conduct follow-up assessments.
• Coordinate data collection and liaise with MDT for timely information.
• Ensure trial conduct aligns with approved protocol and regulatory standards.
• Support archiving and management of trial documentation.
