The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Research Nurse to join the clinical delivery team on Floor 6 CCCL, delivering SACT therapies per protocol and supporting both commercial and non-commercial cancer trials. You will train across Oncology and Haematology pathways, collect data, and ensure high-quality care while meeting deadlines in a busy NHS setting.

Cross-site work is required across CCC Liverpool and CCC Wirral; travel to peripheral sites will be part of training

Qualifications

  • Current level registration with the UK Nursing and Midwifery Council.
  • N59 or equivalent, Degree or working towards.
  • ENB 237 or equivalent.
  • Experience working within an NHS health care environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collect data, support, treat and monitor patients in accordance with ethically approved protocols.
  • Support delivery of commercial and non-commercial cancer clinical trials.
  • Cross-site cover and travel to peripheral sites (CCC Liverpool, CCC Wirral) as needed.

Job description

The Primary aim of this post is to bring about greater access for research in order to provide a unique and enviable framework to enhance delivery of world class research. The Research Nurse will embark on a programme of dual training for both Oncology and Haematology systemic anticancer treatments. As a Research nurse you will be responsible for supporting the research teams in the delivery of SACT therapies per protocol as part of the clinical delivery team on Floor 6 CCCL, whilst ensuring that our service users' needs are met through the delivery of high-quality care. As a centre of excellence, you will offer a person-centred approach to their independence and well-being., The post holder under the supervision of the clinical delivery unit co-ordinator will support the delivery of commercial and non-commercial cancer clinical trials. The role will include; collecting data, supporting, treating and monitoring patients in accordance to ethically approved protocols. The R & I directorate is a busy environment and working to deadlines with frequent interruption is the norm. Ability to work under pressure, pay close attention to detail and organise the priority of own workload is absolutely essential.Individual training will be provided to meet the needs of the post-holder.If you want to be part of a fantastic team and help support the Trust with our vision for providing the best cancer care in the country, then we want to hear from you.
