Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a nurse to contribute to clinical research across multiple specialties, based at Addenbrooke's. You'll support NIHR portfolio studies under the Research Nurse Team Leader, including participant identification, information provision, recruitment, consent, and data collection while developing your CPD.

Job summary We are seeking a nurse interested in contributing to clinical research across a range of specialties to join our dynamic cross divisional team. Based at Cambridge University Hospitals (Addenbrookes), you will support the delivery of NIHR portfolio studies under the guidance of the Research Nurse Team Leader. You will be involved in a range of activities, identifying potential participants, providing patient information and support, co‑ordinating study procedures and collecting data. With opportunities for involvement in all research aspects across many specialties, this is an ideal post for nurses with previous clinical research experience. Applicants with extensive clinical expertise, evidence of CPD activities and a willingness to learn will also be considered. We can offer a comprehensive training programme, ongoing support and actively encourage continuing professional development.

Main duties of the job You will be responsible for the provision of high quality, participant focused clinical research for the Cross Divisional Research Delivery Team. They would be responsible for identifying eligible research participants, providing information and support, study recruitment and consent, co‑ordination of study treatments / interventions, assessing, developing and implementing specialist nursing care and data collection according to study protocols in accordance with ICH Good Clinical Practice (R3), EU Clinical Trials Legislation and the NHS research governance framework. They would also provide specialist advice and support to other staff.

Qualifications Essential

• Registered with NMC (RN1/RN2/RN7 or RNA) or other regulatory body as applicable and / or NIHR CRP accreditation.Registered
• Professional adult nursing or equivalent level science qualification and clinical knowledge acquired through training to degree level OR equivalent relevant experience.
